RVing to Revelstoke: A Mountain Adventure on Wheels

Heading North

Leaving behind the enchanting pillow lines of Red and Whitewater Resorts, your journey takes a magnetic northern turn, guiding you past world-famous cat ski and heli ski lodges, hidden hot springs, and pristine lakes, all en route to the magnificent Revelstoke Mountain Resort. It's a saga of exploration and adventure that unfolds with every twist of the road.

Arrowhead Lake

If you're feeling daring, your inaugural escapade might just lead you to a classic, unbridled skinny dip in the pristine waters of Arrowhead Lake. A seasoned two-time Powder Highway veteran, Cameron W., recounted this moment as nothing short of life-altering. "There was something enchanting and transformative in liberating myself within the serene embrace of Arrowhead Lake."

Halcyon Hot Springs

Nestled amidst the magnificent alpine peaks and glistening crystal-blue lakes lies the enchanting Halcyon Hot Springs Resort.

At the heart of this haven, the natural hot springs take center stage. Ascend to the upper pool deck, where you'll discover a soothing warm pool with a jetted swim channel, a tranquil hot pool, and an invigorating cold plunge. Venture down to the lower deck, where a mineral swimming pool beckons, and a playful kids' splash park awaits. The hot pool keeps a toasty average of 40°C (104°F), the warm pool offers a gentle 37°C (99°F), and the cold pool provides a refreshing dip at 14°C (58°F). It's a thermal sanctuary where relaxation and rejuvenation converge

The Village Idiot

Once you've indulged in the blissful waters of Halcyon Hot Springs, your odyssey continues its northward course with a brief ferry ride, bringing you within striking distance of one of Canada's most iconic ski towns. No, we're not talking about Whistler; Revelstoke is the place where the classic, unpretentious, and wallet-friendly ski town ambiance is alive and well, a vibe cherished by adventurers like us.

Before you tuck your RV in for the night at the mountain's base, we urge you to make a pit stop at one of our all-time favorite ski bars, The Village Idiot. Here, you'll savor specialty pizzas that are nothing short of legendary and soak up the après-ski atmosphere that defines the true spirit of mountain life.

Revelstoke Resort

Ascend to the heavens aboard the trusty gondola, rising to meet the alpine expanse. Revelstoke Mountain Resort, home to towering mountains and perfectly groomed glades, unveils its grandeur. The runs, dropping hundreds of vertical feet, morph seamlessly into dense forests, housing mammoth trees and countless perfect drops. "Conifers of Gnarnia" is a legendary moniker that aptly describes one of these incredible descents, living up to its mythological reputation.

Refuel your senses slopeside at the Mackenzie Outpost, indulging in a burger that's as satisfying as the views. From this vantage point, gaze out across the vast panorama, taking in the majestic Monashee mountains in all their glory.

But our adventure doesn't end here. Departing from Revelstoke, embark on the eastward journey along the Trans Canada Highway, making your way to the captivating Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Just a friendly heads-up, though: when the snow is piling up in an epic fashion, it might be wise to prepare for an extra night in Revelstoke. The towering peaks of Rogers Pass, guardians of the highway, often unleash avalanches that temporarily block the route to Golden, earning Revelstoke its playful nickname of "Revel-stuck."
