Our Basecamp-style expedition is now upgraded to cater to 8 adventurous souls, thanks to the addition of a brand-new 20′ yurt courtesy of Pacific Yurt Inc. Enter the realm of the "Buck Creek" yurt, our designated hub for camaraderie, featuring a communal kitchen where we whip up hearty meals and weave tales of our escapades.
Your haven awaits in the 20×16′ wall tent, transformed into guest sleeping quarters. Revel in the warmth of zero-degree down sleeping bags and plush sleeping pads, ensuring a restful night's sleep after your day of ski big lines. ABOUT THE ITINERARY
Experience the ultimate backcountry ski adventure with our exclusive itinerary! Each morning kicks off with a hearty breakfast and steaming coffee, setting the tone for an amazing day ahead. After a comprehensive safety check and briefing, we hop on snowmobiles for a short ride to our tour's starting point.
Here, we don our skins and begin our ascent, led by expert guides who possess an intimate knowledge of the terrain. Depending on conditions, snowpack and the days plan we generally climb through 1500 feet of elevation to discover our new zone for the day.
Expect an average elevation gain of 3k to 5k feet, showcasing a wealth of awe-inspiring descents tailored to the group's abilities. Midday offers a welcomed respite, with a crackling fire awaiting at our designated zone. Participants can choose to take laps or savor a leisurely lunch amidst the winter wonderland.
The skiing continues until 4 or 5pm, promising an unforgettable day on the slopes. Returning to base camp, our gracious hosts greet us with warm appetizers and a roaring sauna, the perfect end to a day of adventure.
Evenings are a cozy affair in our yurt, starting with some relaxation time before a group dinner. Enjoy a selection of beverages and lively conversation with fellow ski enthusiasts before retiring to our well-appointed wall tent.
Equipped with a zero degree bag, cot, pillow and sleeping bag liner, the wall tent boasts a wood stove to keep us warm throughout the night. Awaken to the promise of another day filled with powdery turns and exhilarating experiences. Join us for four days of unparalleled skiing bliss!

It is important to arrive in La Grande the day before the trip. We like to get an early start on day 1 to maximize ski time.

Early morning start in town followed by a 8 mile snowmobile tow to the yurt. Unpack things and get settled, before heading out for a day of skiing.

A full day of ski touring. Your guides will assess avy conditions and give you the plan for the day. Be prepared for 8 hours of touring and riding.

You can either fly into PDX and rent a car and drive roughly 4 hrs to the town of La Grande where we will meet before heading up to the yurt. Boise is also an option and is roughly a 2 hr drive to La Grande.

We will meet with our guides at a local coffee shop at 8am the first day.

We will likely ski 3/4 of a day on the last day. Getting you to your car at roughly 3 oclock. Depending where you are flying to, it might be best to fly home the following morning.

Best to pickup rental gear before you get to La Grande. There are a few outfitters in La Grande but not the best options.
